🇬🇧 SAS soldiers are resigning in significant numbers over fears they could face “witch hunts” from human rights lawyers. Sources say personnel from 22 SAS — the Army’s elite special forces unit — have applied for early release, with insiders describing the losses as a “threat to national security”. At least two squadrons, D and G, are believed to be affected. The departures are linked to anger over ongoing war crimes investigations into operations in Afghanistan and Syria. Several senior warrant officers — among the regiment’s most experienced troops — are said to have left “on principle”. One insider described morale as “sh*t”, while others warned of growing unrest within the unit. Follow: @europa
