@Horrorposterguy I maintain that Ygor is Lugosi’s finest Universal role! I do struggle a little bit with Son. It’s rather long and a bit flabby for a Universal horror of its era.

@Backagainthird Sorry my friend, thought you knew. I've joined the mass exodus to Bluesky, much nicer. No ads, no bots and better safeguards in place so you just see what you want. Importantly, it's neutral and not controlled by.... almost all of those I chat to here are there now....

@Horrorposterguy Rathbone & Karloff petitioned the producers and threatened to walk from the movie when they discovered how little Lugosi was being paid. He didn't quite reach financial parity with them, but he was very grateful for what they did, and in return gave us his best screen performance

@in_haunted They really don't! For me it's the best in the series, and arguably Lugosi's finest performance.

@Horrorposterguy Afraid you know me all too well! 🙃 Had to rewatch Naschy don the bandages in The Mummy's Revenge afterwards. Never seen a Mummy movie I didn't enjoy. I'm pretty sure... Had to drink 2 bottles of Gatorade to get the sand out of my throat tho...
