Carole Lombard died on 01/16/1942 @ age 33 with 21 other people when the plane they were traveling on crashed into the side of Potosi Mountain outside of Las Vegas. She was traveling home with her mother & Clark Gable’s press agent Otto Winkler from a war bond rally in Indiana.
