Delighted that a collaboration with @Nairlab_UIUC is now online @nchembio Nucleobases are common in biology but not in peptides. In this work, a nucleobase-peptide hybrid is generated from a ribosomal precursor peptide via YcaO domain protein catalysis. nature.com/articles/s4158…

@Pdorrestein1 I always state this is grounds for rejection when I review, surprising how editors ignore this!

As I stated-the only reason the original paper could be corrected (which is part of the scientific process) is because the authors appropriately made their data available. It is therefore surprising and a bit sad to see that the correction is not transparent with their data. 5/n
