We produced another set of excellent financial results in 2025. Senior claims adjustor Mohammad Shakhatre, based in our Amman office, brought IGI’s expertise in claims handling to a recent 2-day seminar on political violence insurance hosted in the Dead Sea, Jordan by Lloyd’s broker Fenchurch Faris. While the seminar was focused specifically on the Palestinian insurance market and challenges related to political violence underwriting, Mohammad outlined how the claims handling process works more broadly in political violence scenarios around the world. Every year, IGI General Aviation Class Underwriter Tony Avery (centre) travels to Nairobi, Kenya as part of a Price Forbes broker trip to meet with our African clients. One of the highlights of this annual trip is the chance to visit the Kibera neighbourhood and spend time with the children. On this year’s trip, Tony visited with local broker Pernille Duckworth, founder and owner of Fred Black Insurance Brokers (Kenya). Pernille graciously hosted dozens of children from Kibera at her home and Tony brought along IGI-sponsored football kits for all the children for an afternoon of fun and football with representatives from Yellow Wings (Kenyan aircraft operator and sponsor of the Kibera men’s local football team) and Price Forbes also present. The children’s enthusiasm and gratitude was palpable as they received the new equipment, reinforcing the importance of giving back to the communities we serve. IGI recently competed in the Haven House Quiz Night ‘Trivial Pursuit of Kindness’, hosted by Haven House Children’s Hospice, one of IGI’s chosen charities in the UK. IGI had three IGI teams participating with one finishing in 2nd place! In addition to the quiz, there was also a raffle and other fun games, all helping to raise a total of £8,000 for the charity on the night. Haven House supports families and cares for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across North and East London. Today we remember. In honour of Remembrance Day, IGI supported the Royal British Legion’s flagship fundraising event for the Poppy Appeal. The Appeal involved 1,000 uniformed personnel from the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force, alongside 2,000 veterans, volunteers, and supporters, coming together in the city of London marking one of the few times each year that the public can engage directly with serving military personnel. IGI hosted a corporate walk with two active serving sailors visiting our London office to collect donations from employees which the Company then matched. They reminded us of the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who served and continue to serve. #RemembranceDay
