@lewstringer it's ultimately not about the shape of the earth, it's just about reaffirming their existing biases; if Big Brother is lying about the earth being flat, then they could be lying about any old nonsense one wants to believe
I might be letting myself in for a lot of strange replies here but why do flat Earthers believe what they do? What would actually be the point of a massive conspiracy to pretend the Earth is a globe?
@Husk444 tbh I think these days it's underrated to tell stories about the places that are familiar to us. not everything needs to be set in New York and have total global appeal yk
feels lazy to use my hometown as the setting for my story, and I'm sure 10 years ago I would have set it in some other world or a made up city, but I've grown to see my city in a sort of romanticized way, and imagining Kat and everyone walking those streets fills me with joy
