Arsenal were there for the taking for Newcastle tonight.
The home players sinking to their knees on the final whistle underlined just how nervy they and their fans were tonight. They’ll struggle to win the league if they continue to play like that.
Newcastle were better than recent, they looked organised and motivated. But a lack of a cutting edge. And when they got it, they missed.
I actually don’t think it was an easy chance for Wissa, but it was the finosh of a player who hasn’t scored in 2026.
Woltemade looked dangerous in a rare no.10 run-out, and Tonali was the best player on the pitch.

@JamieSprawling1 @chazc09 He would but if we played him in midfield he wouldn’t be. He was almost Spurs’ player of the season in 2018/19 and won player of the tournament at Euro 2016. He’s had a better legacy than most.

This day in Newcastle History- It was 10 years ago and the last time we played Sunderland at St James Park. Mitrovic rescued a point for us and I still remember the absolute Roar and relief of seeing that Mitro Goal go in. Who else was at the game and can remember the day.
