Just an observation, how many of you agree to this? Most Al startups are mistaking model access for defensibility. In the long run, generic agentic ai features will be absorbed by foundation-model owning companies. Startups who will decode the formula to turn user usage information into proprietary data, workflow ownership, customer lock-in, distribution or a model quality advantage, that are more prone to survive. Agentic Al is not a moat by itself; the moat is the context, control, trust, and compounding advantage around the agent.

WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING TODAY?

Users are always going to be more than the count of builders. But what it will lead to is most of these early stage or funded startup products are going to be end up as next product features of the primary model platforms. And the ones among those startups that can’t evolve first will have to exit from the market. The real gainers are always going to be the primary model owners, rather than the model wrapper startups. That’s a long run paradox awaiting for ai businesses i guess

Silicon Valley predicts that AI will create the first "one-person billion-dollar company" very soon. But if Claude allows literally anyone to build complex software over the weekend for $20... Who exactly is going to buy their product to make them a billionaire?

It maybe there are some but not all are garbage. And also it’s not about others. It’s more about own personal taste and design sense. I think the existence of garbage by some, is a great business opportunity for the ones who can’t create garbage, to show the difference the best and the worst.
