The Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced today that it will be closing down by the end of the year following the passage of a rescissions package earlier this month. My team and I are still figuring out what this announcement will mean for Alaska Public Media, but rest assured that I will not back down when it comes to public broadcasting. When I return home this month, I will spend time with public broadcasters across the state to assess their needs and chart a path forward. The programming and emergency alerts these stations provide to communities throughout Alaska are vital, and I won’t give up until they receive the support they need.

I can’t think about Joe Biden without tearing up a little. This man ran for president 5 times and lost then enthusiastically backed Obama and played the establishment number two to the greatest leader of his generation. He wanted to run for president in 2016 but couldn’t because his son Beau died and he was too wracked with grief. So he comes back in 2020, saves the country from Donald Trump and despite being a career centrist, proceeds to have the most pro-union, pro-working class administration in 80 years, pulls the country out of Covid, pulls us from the economic disaster of Trump into the best economy in the world. He’s then betrayed by the media class and has to drop out because he’s too old for them. He steps down, for the good of the country, and immediately turns around and full-throatedly endorses the the first Black woman Presidential candidate finalist in U.S. history. This man.

What I am hearing regarding Joe Biden. Ron Klain and Barack Obama are having a sit down with the President today. Jill Biden is insistent that Joe runs. So glad we beat you in 2008 at skills... let me break this down for you. It was never about getting a free ticket. He was always going to buy a ticket. He wanted to do the right thing by requesting to purchase a ticket directly from the tournament. They denied the request. So he bought one anyway. He didn't want a free ticket from anyone or bother any player with something like this. The point was how nice everyone was to him on site and how the majority of folks are not cold-hearted trolls like someone fools are on the internet who do nothing but continue attempting to divide.
