After Israel struck a car in front of her, killing two people, Amal Khalil and her colleague Zeinab Faraj, took shelter in a nearby building. Israel “specifically targeted the home where they took refuge.” Zeinab was injured but survived the strike, Amal was killed. Lebanese Red Cross arrived to rescue Amal and Khalil and others, but an Israeli drone dropped a grenade on the medics, and fired at their ambulance, forcing them to withdraw for hours. ^^^ all per Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Amal did not survive. Israel killed her and attacked anyone trying to help her. The Lebanese government “diplomatic efforts” with the Americans failed to pressure Israel into allowing her rescue. This is the peaceful diplomatic path they want us to have with Israel

A short while ago, in full coordination with the local community of Debel in southern Lebanon, the damaged statue was replaced by IDF troops. The Northern Command worked to coordinate the replacement of the statue from the moment it received the report of the incident. The IDF expresses deep regret over the incident, and is working to ensure that it does not happen again in the future.
