NBA media is so brain dead it’s unreal. Last year: Luka has an ABSURD, historical season, contributing to more points and assists per possession than any player in NBA history since Oscar Robertson. But his team wasn’t very good pre trade deadline, resulting in a lower seeding in the end, 5th. Despite still winning 50 games, despite averaging a 40 point triple double for over a month to keep his team afloat while Kyrie was hurt, voters said he couldn’t be MVP because the team wasn’t good enough. This year: Jayson Tatum is having a spectacular season, playing really good ball on both ends of the floor. 28, 10, & 6, 2nd best record in the NBA. But now voters are stating he cannot win MVP, because the team is too deep. Basically, his team isn’t bad enough for him to be considered an MVP. They need to just come out & say the MVP is pre determined at the beginning of the year & they’ll put out whatever narrative they need to in order to make that happen. Rant over.

@iamrobtv @1clouty1 I really think you’re stretching the “move the goalpost for jok”. The mvp award is based around statistics. He doesn’t deserve more than prime bron. However prime bron did deserve more. The award has a lot more going into it than it should which is the real issue.

It’s not that I don’t believe he’s deserving, it’s that the media has become so infatuated with him that he can do no wrong. You’re telling me Jok deserves more MVP’s than prime LEBRON??? I don’t think so. I think the only MVP he was robbed of was 23 when Embiid won. But it should’ve been Luka last year; and based on how they did things last year, theoretically it should be SGA this year. But they’ll once again move goal posts to give it to Jok. Nothing against him, he’s already an all time great. But he’s not being held to the same standard as other guys.

@iamrobtv @1clouty1 I agree with that. But jokic is beyond deserving of these awards. I definitely see Luka getting an mvp in the next couple of years. But jok has been on another level and he should be on 4 mvps in a row.
