idk why jojo fans reject any attempt to see nuance in dio when araki said that if he was writing dio today, he’d explore why he BECAME evil (upbringing, family…)
that doesn’t excuse his actions but it shows that even araki sees value in understanding why he turned out that way

This entire situation is so fucking stupid and could have been avoided if they just told everyone the series will premiere as a 45 minute premiere ONA short film then it will begin airing weekly in the fall that’s literally all that they had to say when they announced production
