This is most beneficial for large light wallet server (LWS) deployments, such as Edge Wallet, Coinomi (if they support subaddresses instead of payment IDs, which they currently don't), and possibly exchanges.

A proposal by jeffro to substantially speed up Monero light wallet server subaddress scanning. It comes with a negligible scanning time increase for most wallet end users. If the new method is implemented, the legacy method would remain available. github.com/vtnerd/monero-…
