But having an elite defensive anchor in the paint has paid off big time. The Wolves went to back-to-back Western Conference Finals, and now, no one's doubting Rudy. In their playoff series against the 3rd-seeded Nuggets, Gobert came up huge. Nikola Jokic entered the playoffs averaging a triple-double in the regular season, and putting up MVP-level numbers. But in the playoffs, Jokic had trouble against Gobert all series long. He shot just 44.6% in the series - far below his season average of 56.9%. Jokic looked just a shell of himself, and is now sent home for the summer all because of the Stifle Tower. Put some respect on Rudy Gobert's name. He turns 34 this summer, but the 4-time DPOY is still wreaking havoc 😤

Un pièce de plus dans ma tirelire de "la défense est sans doute trop sous évalué dans le prisme individuel et Rudy Gobert est peut être un Top 20 joueur NBA". Si Jokic c'est le moteur de la 1e attaque NBA... ...est ce que Gobert qui stoppe ça, ça ne génère pas en symétrie la même quantité de valeur (défensive) qu'on attribuerait à l'attaquant (meilleur joueur du monde) si il n'avait pas été freiné et aurait produit ? Conjectures.
