The man in the video is Richard "Beebo" Russell, a 29-year-old Horizon Air ground service agent at Seattle-Tacoma Airport. On August 10, 2018, he stole an empty Bombardier Q400 turboprop (no passengers or crew aboard), took off without a pilot's license, and flew it for about an hour over Puget Sound. He chatted casually with air traffic control about his "bad thing," admired the views of Mount Rainier and the Olympics, did a barrel roll, and expressed personal struggles. He then crashed the plane into Ketron Island, killing himself. No one else was injured.
