Forced to disembark at Int'l District. According to transit security, the first trains to carry passengers have been pushed back to 10:30-11:00. Leave it to Sound Transit to have even further delays with the first scheduled service. Big crowds here in Chinatown, just waiting.

The other day, after watching some news footage from the gas shortages in the ’70s, I looked up historical oil prices. In 1979, during the second oil shock, a barrel was going for $40, which is the equivalent of $180 today. In 2008, it was $147, which is the equivalent of $223 today. $200-per-barrel oil today would result in gas prices at least at $6 per gallon and likely as high as $8 per gallon?
