Bidding privacy coins makes total sense right now. They validated the demand for shielded transactions.
The logical evolution is full ZK chains where that same cryptography is embedded at the network execution layer by default 🤔

Privacy coins are the best performing sector this cycle, up 52.4%. Not AI, Perp Dex, or even memecoins. The same week governments passed laws forcing exchanges to report every transaction. The market rotated harder into privacy than any other sector. Privacy takeover is real.

Hot take: If a DeFi protocol can be shut down it wasn’t a DeFi protocol in the first place.
The problem is not giving DeFi founders a way out.
It is DeFi founders building a “way out” in the first place.

Let me be clear what I am saying and not saying: I am NOT saying: let's forcibly shut down protocols (we can't), or let's only use the largest ones, or that teams shouldn't build new protocols. I AM saying: there are a lot of zombie protocols out there with basically the front doors unlocked and no one inside anymore. These are like blighted homes and we need to get rid of them, or the whole neighborhood will suffer. The way we change that is by CHANGING THE NORMS around shutdowns and giving these founders a graceful way to exit. Right now there is no playbook on how to wind down a DeFi protocol, and we need to make one, ASAP.

Fair enough, but what still isn't scaling is privacy.
zkVMs are nice, but aren't going to cut it if we're serious about facilitating any use case at scale, whether it's Wall Street or millions of AI agents

welp, it happened. @owockibot's hot wallet private key was compromised after only 5 days alive. luckily, funds are SAFE. @owockibot's treasury / signing keys are stored in a safe that requires me to sign. what happened? it was given these instructions to never share it... but it still did! from my investigations, it put the key into git commits (which it swears it didnt push!), vercel env variables (which it swears it doesnt remember doing!), and it looks like it got social engineering attacked through X and telegram (though it swears it didnt share secrets w attacker!). what did i learn? 1. investigations with an agent mediating are hard. i've found my agent is not a *reliable narrator* during the investigations. sometimes it forgets things, contradicts itself - esp between context windows. it may even be covering for itself, i cant know for sure. 2. if you expose your agent to the internet, and give it secrets, you cannot be 100% sure it wont leak them. 3. its still gonna be useful for @owockibot to do small txns itself. i am going to be coming up with a way to let it do txns via @MetaMask UI for now. but if anyone is building an agentic wallet hit me up i want to try it out. 4. the @owockibot traction towards the @swarmwealth vision is still going strong. this was a minor setback.
