A friend called off her wedding two weeks before the date. Not because her fiancé cheated. Not because he abused her. She found out he had been lying about his salary for three years. Half the family says she overreacted. The other half says trust is everything. Who is right?

@Prai_seee 😂 Facts! They’ll remind you they carried you when you were five as if it came with a lifetime contract for free errands. That childhood receipt never expires in their minds. 😂

My children witnessed something hilarious during our last family visit. My eldest brother finished eating, leaned back comfortably, looked at my younger sister, and said, “Come and pack this plate.” He didn’t even move a finger toward the table. He spoke with the confidence of someone who believed dirty plates naturally belonged to younger siblings. The children immediately became curious observers. My sister looked at him without saying a word. Then she laughed and replied, “Your two hands are still working.” Everyone around the table burst into laughter, but my brother refused to surrender. “I used to carry you on my back when you were small,” he reminded her proudly, as if childhood transportation automatically included lifetime dishwashing services. My children quietly watched the exchange with wide eyes. They couldn’t understand why two grown adults were negotiating over one empty plate. My brother continued listing all the sacrifices he claimed he had made growing up. My sister calmly reminded him that she had also washed his clothes, fetched water, and covered for him whenever our parents were angry. The scorecard kept getting longer.

An elderly man said something during a marriage seminar that has stayed with me. He said, "I've apologized to my wife hundreds of times." Everyone laughed. Then he added, "Not because I was always wrong. Because I loved our peace more than my ego." Half the room clapped. The other half disagreed immediately. One man stood up and said constant apologies only encourage disrespect. Another woman argued that refusing to apologize destroys more marriages than infidelity. The debate lasted longer than the seminar itself. It made me wonder whether saying "I'm sorry" is really about admitting guilt... Or choosing the relationship over being right. What do you think?

It's been 4 days and guilt is still eating my husband up.😂 On Saturday he was coming back from work and when he dropped at Oshodi, one man walked up to him to ask for some money to complete his transport fare, hubby gave him 2k. While he was walking down, another man came again for transport matter, he gave him 2k. One woman asked for money to feed her baby and he gave her 2k. Before taking his next bus another person came to beg for transport fare, he reached into his pocket and realized he was low on cash, he said no, she didn't leave and started holding his bag while persisting, he told her to leave him alone. A man standing close by saw what happened and told the woman that he would pay for her. Hubby got into the bus and the woman got in too. When he saw that she truly got into the bus, he started feeling guilty, he didn't have cash on him but he could have easily gotten some from the POS nearby. He woke up this morning talking about it again. I don't know what to say again o.

I finally spoke to my child’s dad. I offered to give him full custody that way he won’t have to be worried about how I’m raising her. I told him take her for 6 months. I’ll pay her daycare bill and medical insurance and kick him R1500 a month . I’ll take his 12 hours a week. Yall know what he said to me ….. “how can I take her and I have to work.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@kenkenlewu @Prai_seee I am also confused. Very confused. Every married couple is entitled to regular sex with their spouse. It is non-negotiable.

My friend refused to sleep with her husband for seven months because of their marital issues. Yesterday, she found a hotel receipt in his pocket. She asked, "Were you with another woman?" He replied, "Yes." She messaged me, "Babes, he has started cheating on me. Someone that is supposed to be begging me." I asked, "How many months have you denied him sex?" She replied, "Just seven months."

A woman in my office got promoted ahead of everyone else. Within twenty-four hours, people had already decided she must have slept with the boss. Nobody mentioned the weekends she spent working. Nobody remembered the projects she rescued when everyone else gave up. Rumours spread faster than congratulations. Months later, the company released everyone's performance scores. She had ranked first for two consecutive years. The office suddenly became quiet. Nobody apologized. Instead, they pretended they never said anything. That's when I realized something. People often celebrate successful men. But successful women are expected to explain themselves first. Why do you think success attracts different reactions depending on who achieves it?

Found out the man I had been dating for almost 6 months has 4 kids with 3 different women. The last one married him 15 years ago and they're still together. I had a lot of grief for about 6 weeks. I focused on other things. He went through a huge downward spiral and I was like damn I really dodged a bullet but still felt awkward. Now I just don't care. And the really messed up part was that he came back and reached out to me. I agreed I would call him back and meet up but I was like nah f*ck that. I changed my phone number the next day and took my misery and moved on.

My friend’s landlord added a rule that any tenant who played loud music after 10 PM would be fined. The guy upstairs stopped playing music. Instead, he invited his friends over every Friday. No music. Just six grown men passionately arguing about football until 2 AM….

I just came across this story online, and honestly, I don't even know what the right answer is. A single mum said she's completely given up on trying to raise her teenage daughter. It all started with chores. Her daughter refused to wash the dishes, so she took away her phone. Later, when she also refused to clean her room, the mum decided the phone would stay gone until she became more responsible. Instead of changing, the girl simply stopped doing anything....

Three months after their son was born, my colleague secretly did a DNA test. Not because the baby looked different. Not because his wife cheated. His friends kept saying, "These days, you can't trust anybody." The result confirmed he was the father. Instead of feeling relieved, he felt ashamed. His wife eventually found the receipt in his drawer. She didn't shout. She simply asked one question. "If you never trusted me, why did you marry me?" She packed a bag and left for her parents' house that evening. Both families became involved. Some people said every man has a right to be sure. Others said trust is the foundation of marriage, and once you secretly question your partner's integrity, the damage is already done. I still think about that story. Was the DNA test the problem... Or was it the lack of trust behind it? If you were in her shoes, would you stay or leave?

The entire compound was peaceful until someone shouted the three words every Nigerian fears. “NEPA people don come!” Within seconds, windows opened, curtains shifted, and everybody suddenly became a security analyst. Children abandoned football. Mothers stopped cooking. Even the man who claimed he was sleeping somehow appeared outside before anyone else. News travels faster than light whenever electricity is involved in Nigeria. The IKEDC officials walked confidently toward the transformer carrying ladders and tools. One neighbor whispered, They’re here to disconnect us. That single sentence united the compound faster than any residents’ meeting ever had. People who hadn’t greeted each other for months suddenly became teammates with one common mission. One uncle rushed outside wearing only one slipper. Another woman abandoned the pot of soup on the fire because, according to her, Soup can burn, but this light must not go. Someone immediately volunteered to call the landlord. Another person insisted they should first negotiate before anyone touched a single cable.
