I’ve been animating since I was 16 and I’m unlikely to ever stop. I genuinely love it too much despite industry trends I don’t really fit in. So whether a suitable open sourced alternative pops up, I use an older version or god forbid I finally learn TB, I’ll keep doing what I do

I have confidence things will turn out okay. Yet It’s still impossible to not feel a little discouraged when the tool you used for 15+ years has been deemed irrelevant in favour of slop. I could not anticipate for that bubble to pop any faster.

So Adobe are killing Flash for good. I guess it’s on us then, to stay noisy about this, if we ever hope to open our project files for the foreseeable future. (1)

I've been sitting on a Flash to ToonBoom tutorial for a long time that I haven't had the time to finish that I was going to paywall for a time but with adobe announcing the end of support for animate, I'll be releasing it on my second channel completely free

Adobe ending Animate perpetual licenses to make us all pay monthly/annual subscriptions for a decade then leaving us with nothing, not even a reason, is vile.

Hey guys! Today is my birthday 🎉 To celebrate, I decided to drop a little before/after comparison from one of the projects I worked on. This was a small animated sequence for a feature-length film and the main challenge was achieving very realistic, hand-drawn textures in every single frame. I think it turned out pretty great, literally every frame here is unique and made purely by human hands. No shortcuts, just love, patience and a lot of pixels🤙🏻✨

@aalong64 @thatdaffyduck As much as I share your distaste for the new voice, I feel like I would have gotten over it if his character didn't also feel so sandpapered down, which is how I generally feel about the Muppets and most media aimed at younger audiences. But that's another rant.

@thatdaffyduck It is seriously a problem. I'm sure he's a nice guy and a talented performer but he just cannot do the voice. And it's kind of important when the character is the face of the whole series!

I wish the Muppets would stop referencing how precarious they are as an IP. they always did meta jokes, but after the 2011 film made it the entire plot and the sequel bombed, it's a bit off-putting. self-deprecation isn't cute when you do it non-stop and make clear you mean it.
