@HillbillyTesla @Henry68157 I’m guessing you don’t know that about recovery. You are considered to be an addict or an alcoholic for the rest of your life. She may be an addict in recovery, but she always has to remind herself that she is not “cured”.

This is our oldest child. She is an addict. Today we watched get her 2 year chip for sobriety. We are so proud of her constant fight to live clean and move her life in a positive direction. I have learned so much from watching her journey. One day at a time.

@Henry68157 Genuine question: why do you say she “is” an addict, if she’s been sober for two years? How long does it take to be sober, to no longer being an addict?
