@100LLPapi calm down, lol, all the srilankans can go abroad, work, live, start businesses, why would foreign people cant do the same here? this is how long term tourism should play, just 1 week temp foreign tourists aren't sustainable. we have plenty of space for everyone

Top programs like this normally wont even interviews foreign medical school grads. I was a coordinator for a top community hospital based transitional year program. We took no foreign grads and in fact we didn’t even take DOs and you had to score at least 450 on your USMLE. I now work in a community hospital based family medicine program and we still don’t interview any foreign grads. But we match mostly DOs.

I’m working on a longer article about the state of Malaysian football 🇲🇾 and the struggles it faces No publication date yet, but I’m working on it ; one of my priorities this year is to publish more investigative pieces on Asian football, as what’s happening is completely abnormal (Afghanistan 🇦🇫, India 🇮🇳, Laos 🇱🇦, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and so many other football associations...)

Surprised to see moral lectures from the White folks accusing Indian owners of discrimination, while the same countries punish Indian companies operating in Britain for doing business with Russia. Apparently, morality becomes very flexible when it suits them. Pakistan is a country that has repeatedly hurt India, and even their players have openly mocked and abused Hindus. I do not need to pull up the countless images and incidents everyone has already seen and is available online. When Britain or other Western powers flex their strength to teach India, it is called policy or strategy. When India asserts itself, suddenly the moral sermons begin. Perhaps it is time to move beyond the mindset that Western definitions of morality are the only valid ones. Morality, after all, is not a monopoly of Europe or the West.

If the Indian owners who own 70% of the Manchester Super Giants exclude Pakistan cricketers from playing for them the 30% owners @lancscricket should terminate their contract. They will be breaking Lancs & the @ECB_cricket racism & discrimination rules. What an absolute shit-show

Associates received nearly 16M in 2007 itself (that's 25% of ICC profits) But after the Pig 3 (BCCI , ECB, CA) takeover of ICC in 2015, associates kept getting only around 16-20M for the next 16 years, which significantly slowed associate cricket growth. With the 2024 to 2027 ICC media rights cycle having tripled in value, Associates are now receiving $60M+. However, the value of the next cycle from 2028-31 is expected to drop by at least 30%, so they may have to prepare for another underfunded phase :)
Ragav X@ragav_x

ICC share of revenue to Associates : 2007-15 : $15.625M per year 2016-23 : $20M per year 2024-25 : $56.25M per year 2026 : $61.875M per year. (After 10% increase announced by ICC)

Several comments of this nature. If you read the para properly though, the point is that serving the ICC has not served these countries' cricket. Not super hard to understand imo.

@afidelf “Sri Lanka Cricket, for instance, has in recent years been among the BCCI’s most loyal allies. But it has now been a dozen years since any of their senior teams made the semifinal of a global tournament.” - How is BCCI responsible for Sri Lanka not making it to a semi final?

A leading journo and a former SL cricketer are in a serious discussion on how to revive SL cricket, yet they seem to have no clue about the actual number of FC clubs in SL at the moment. 2022/23 - 26 2023/24 - 22 2024/25 - 18 (Ongoing) 2025/26 - 14 (Expected) @AzzamAmeen FYI

@MiMestalla Wonder why they keep signing at their peak/past their peak imports to play backup, either play young locals or if you really want to fill all slots, get some young imports than can develop with the team.

based on the few games played this season, I would let go a few of our import. Jalil isn't any better than Hong Wan and having any of them as back up is crazy. Murillo, Nicolao, Forestieri, Heberty all of them are fighting for the left wing position.
