What a week! It was incredibly humbling to be mentioned as a potential Lieutenant Governor candidate by the greatest President in American history. Virginia and I have had an amazing year. We have successful careers, and our family is happy and healthy. We thank God every day for our two young children, and we love raising them in South Carolina. We know how quickly the years fly by, and we cherish every minute. I've been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends, neighbors, colleagues, and even strangers encouraging me to run for public office, but now is simply not the right time for me to be considered for Lieutenant Governor. I am Team Evette all the way, and Pamela will be a fantastic governor. Thank you to everyone who encouraged and supported me and my family. I'm confident that, with Pamela Evette as our governor, South Carolina's best days are ahead.

My dad always told us: "Elections have consequences." As I've been crisscrossing the state this week and talking with voters, the momentum is shifting. South Carolina is booming, and we can't afford to have a weak-kneed, career politician as our next governor -- there's too much at stake.

This is Todd “Let’s Roll” Beamer, who died heroically while trying to retake United Flight 93 from Al Qaeda terrorists on 9/11. His final resting place, is in Cranbury, NJ — where he was living with his wife and children before his murder. Cranbury is located in NJ-12, where the new Democratic nominee for Congress is Adam Hamawy. Hamawy was a close associate and translator to Omar Abdel-Rahman, aka the ‘Blind Sheikh,’ an arch terrorist convicted of masterminding multiple plots against targets in NYC — including the World Trade Center. Hamawy testified at Adbel-Rahman’s trial, as a defense witness. It has also been reported that Hamawy traveled to Bosnia to volunteer at an organization that was later unmasked as an Al Qaeda front group. One of Hamawy’s loudest and most high-profile supporters and endorsers has openly declared that America deserved the 9/11 attacks. Hamawy is now the prohibitive frontrunner to represent Todd Beamer’s district in the United States Congress.

LISTEN: When directly asked how Governor Henry McMaster’s son (McMaster Jr.) ended up named as her running mate in President Trump’s endorsement, Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette doesn't answer the question. Evette told reporters she wants to win the primary first and "worry about everything that comes after" later. When pressed on the uncomfortable optics of favoritism or a backroom deal, she simply laughs it off as "just politics."
