Whether I valued Russini's reporting or not doesn't matter. If Shams was sleeping with an NBA GM he was actively covering would you have the same energy? Now imagine he's putting out exaggerated trade rumors or inflating a player's value because it benefits that GM. That's the risk when a journalist compromises their objectivity. It's why standards exist.

Why is Hegseth removing three top U.S. generals in one day right as the President is replacing top cabinet officials? What’s going on here?

Upon taking office in January 2009, President Obama replaced a small number of high-ranking generals early on as part of standard command reviews during ongoing wars. Key examples include relieving Gen. David McKiernan (top U.S. commander in Afghanistan) in May 2009, followed by others like Gen. Stanley McChrystal in 2010. Historical accounts from sources like the Washington Post and Fox News put the total high-level military leadership changes in his first 18-24 months at around 5, aligning with routine transitions rather than a mass purge. Broader claims of 197 often span his full term and include non-generals for misconduct or other reasons.
