Cada botella de agua donada proviene de un venezolano que no tiene agua en su casa. Cada linterna es de un venezolano que padece apagones de 8 horas. Cada bolsa de comida es de un venezolano que gana menos de un dolar al mes de salario mínim. Cada medicina es de un venezolano que tiene que elegir si ese mes compra las pastillas o come. Cada pieza de ropa es de un venezolano que, probablemente, lleva ya varios años sin estrenar. Por eso es que jamás podrán rompernos como nación, como gentilicio: Porque nuestra solidaridad es tan fuerte, está tan incrustada en nosotros, que no se detiene a ver la necesidad propia a la hora de atender la mayor necesidad del otro. Porque toda nuestra ayuda proviene de un pueblo al que no le sobra nada. Somos un pueblo con muchas virtudes: nuestro sentido del humor, nuestra alegría, nuestra fuerza. Pero quizá una de las mayores es nuestro sentido de comunidad. Para nosotros, la solidaridad no es un excedente: es nuestra norma. "Donde comen 4, comen 5" nunca fue para nosotros un cliché, sino una forma de vivir. Saldremos de esta, juntos, unidos, y más fortalecidos. Como salimos de tantas otras en el pasado.

@MeijeSibbel @surajit_ghosh2 Unfortunately, my country is governed by a dictatorship that stole all the money that should have been allocated to medical services and emergency. We don't even have earthquake alarms like other countries such as Chile and Mexico, due to the government's indifference.

@surajit_ghosh2 I find it immeasurably sad and unwise for countries prone to earthquakes to continue to ignore building codes to make their structures more earthquake resilient. Yes this is hard in poor countries but not building high, with wood etc (like most US homes) are much safer.

hola estoy bien! Aunque me preocupan los otros Artistas y diseñadores de Venezuela que perdieron sus aparatos electrónicos con los que dependían para poder mantener a su familia. Entiendo que lo material se recupera pero en Venezuela es el doble de difícil, espero que estén bien
