The other thing Wheatley's departure shows once more is the problem that Sauber had from its early sportscar days - attracting top British talent to live and work in Switzerland when there are so many opportunities closer to home. People rarely stay long...

@MauriceHamilton I understood that this was to calm the rumours down to allow them to find the right guy, Mo. I agree though that JW's move so soon is odd, especially since he and the family seemed to enjoy living in Switzerland.

Have to say this is a surprise: not Newey standing down - he should never have accepted the TP role in the first place - but Wheatley's switch after such a comparatively short time.

You'd think they'd learnt from the first time...ruins overtaking, takes all the skill away from the driver in the fast corners...Eau Rouge for example. This stuff about cornering, totally buries the benefits of the new aero in allowing close racing

@matthewcarter7 @johnnyherbertf1 @HillF1 @wearetherace Qualifying used to be the best thing especially from 22 onwards. It was so exciting. I used to look forward to it as much as the race - if not more so. Now, it’s a joke. What an absolute let down.

The latest embarrassment is the Gov saying they will control the price of fuels. The same Gov that is paying for NHS agency workers at a rate of £29.50/hr which the workers receive £12.50/hr. Governed by idiots.
