People are completely misinterpreting this. Nikki wasn’t "trapped" by a spell, the movie explicitly shows that the Willow just unmasked her true internal desires. Bear didn't force anything on her, he just gave her the permission to stop pretending to be the good girl. If you think she’s a helpless victim here, you completely missed the entire psychological point of the third act #Obsession

No, she was controlled. Her snapping out of it and then jumping right back in could LOOK like a mental breakdown but she was speaking to him and asking him to kill her before "She" wakes up! Something was controlling her and we saw the same thing when SHE made the wish at the end. She wanted HIM to love her! I thought that was going to be the end... they were crazy in love with each other. But he died and she was returned to normal. Those things wouldn't happen in that scenario. It was like a switch turned off and she was back!

Simple. She isn't fighting the Willow, she’s fighting her own buyer's remorse. Nikki loved the absolute chaos and power of being "Wish Nikki" until the real-world social consequences hit her. The screaming, the glass bottle, and begging Bear to kill her isn't her fighting a demonic entity; it’s a massive psychological breakdown because she can't handle the guilt of what her unfiltered subconscious actually wants. As for the Willow employee? He’s a salesman, not a therapist. Asking Bear if he "wants to talk to her" is just confirming that the product successfully unmasked her repressed shadow-self. She doesn't want to be saved from Bear, she wants to be saved from herself.

The most interesting thing about the movie for me is that fact Freaky Nikki knows she was "created" by a wish with one wish willow 1. In most wish movies, the created person has no clue they’re a wish-made being. But in this one, Nikki fully gets it—she recites the poem, knows she was made for Bear. 2. When Sarah dies, she straight-up blames Bear: “You wished for this.” And at the end, Nikki tells him it’s his responsibility to be there for her because he created her (Echoing that one-wish phone guy vibe.) 3. It makes the whole story feel weirder and darker. The creations aren’t clueless…they’re aware. 4. Makes you wonder: in similar wishes (reviving the dead, bringing fictional characters to life), do they also instantly know they were wish-crafted? Or is this movie’s rule unique? #Obsession
