Upcoming artist go; Pay 200k for studio session, 100k for visuals, use like 50k buy costumes, pay 30k for distribution to all platforms, pay for marketing, manage to get 10k to 50k streams but still won't get a dime for their hardwork! Very brutal reality!

Say what u want about streaming, but they’ve built the most frictionless way for fans to hear ur music. And I care more that they can actually listen than I do making sure every single person pays full price for it. I’ll keep it on streaming and also find other ways for fans to support me direct.

I always hear artists say this and I get it but… do u KNOW how difficult it is to sell music direct to fans? How many fans u got that are willing to swipe their card, download ur song/album to only listen to it from the files app on their phone, and then repeat those steps single time u drop something? My own family wouldn’t do all that for me 😂😂
