@jwflame @Monty_Electrics If I were choosing an EV vehicle, I would want the brand, the model, and one I like the look of. I wouldn’t be choosing one just for range it produces. And I get that EV fires are rare, but I still would not want a vehicle outside my house, that could produce that devastation

@jwflame @Adrianepdavey @Monty_Electrics 14k in 11 months, usual recall - but no issue on battery or range. Only do 70-80 miles a day so rare to charge away from home, wouldn't do it If I didn't have the 32A charger at home.

Range is only a concern when you buy the vehicle, as in you choose a vehicle which is suitable for your requirements. For most, that's how far you drive in a typical day. For some it might be how far you drive on long journeys between the stops you will be making anyway for food, drinks, toilet and so on. For those that claim to drive 600 miles towing a caravan without stopping every day it's not a problem either because they don't own a car or a caravan and never have. There are instances of charging devices not working, which is why you don't drive around until there is 1 mile left and then look for a charging location. If you can charge overnight at home, that's where most charging will be, and for rapid DC charging most locations have more than one, and even if they were all busted, it's very likely that others will exist within a moderate distance. Breakdowns are rare, fires even more so, and both are less likely than with a petrol or diesel vehicle.
