Of course, the U.S. is also heavily invested in the Gulf’s air defenses, providing gear, parts, teams, and authorizing massive emergency military sales. Actions speak louder than slogans and hollow statements in life-or-death situations, especially as Gulf countries face what some consider existential crises. Israel showed up; Ukraine showed up; Europe offered defensive help, even if it won’t join the war; the U.S. remains a steadfast ally. This war and the aggression of the Islamic Republic of Iran will push the Gulf countries closer to the West and the United States, not to mention Israel. Meanwhile, China, Russia, and many Arab and Muslim countries will be viewed as impotent and unhelpful, beyond surface-level cordial relations or bilateral economic partnerships.
