@andyb861 @SheffieldStar Hopefully there would be stops along the way. Old Victoria station, Neepsend, added coverage to Hillsborough, parsons cross via the bridge. I would happily take the kids out to Stocksbridge if theres attractions in the woodland there and the fare was priced into a day ticket.

@SheffieldStar Wouldn’t be economical. Estimated between 13 to 14 thousand people in Stockbridge. It’s would cost in excess of a million and run at a loss.

@SY_Supertram The tram just departed from Herdings, whats the point giving incorrect information?

From 16:24 today the Purple route is now cancelled until the end of service today. First bus accepting tram tickets for the Purple route customers.

@SY_Supertram Again, means nothing if theres no display at the tram stop. Anyone without the internet or X will have zero idea the purple route is suspended till later today.

Apologies but there will be no Purple route service from as follows 08:28 Herdings Park to Cathedral until 16:58 08:24 Catherdal to Herdings Park until 16:24 Tickets will be accepted on First buses 18, 18A,47 & 48 Sorry if your journey is affected

@SY_Supertram Does this mean the half hourly purple route will come back? If you didn't schedule them straight in front of blue trams they might be a good way to add capacity from city-townend.

The Purple route service is cancelled until the end of service . There is ticket acceptance on buses between Gleadless Townend and Herdings park. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Our teams carried out a sweep this morning to help clear the tracks and keep services moving as safely as possible today. Tram stops have been gritted, but conditions may still be icy in places. Check before you travel, take extra care and stay warm. 📸Snaps from last year.
