So Chainsawman was never actually about any of the themes it build up, it was about Denji's addiction to being CSM that he couldn't overcome because he can only find heaven in hell so everything was reset and now he's back to being a PS slave but this time with a heart disease.

Comparing the two is a bit ridiculous since their components are inherently different. The endings might be similar at first glance, but nothing else is.

my final take CSM ending it's "theme and such" sums it up perfectly. It's an ending that prioritizes the themes over everything the development, pacing, the world, etc. I can't even be happy for Denji because this one isn't the one I spent the 200+ chapters with
