You realize we just had a +7T increase in the stock market over 2 weeks…the market has *literally* priced it in like it’s a speeding ticket. Every geopolitical expert saying this is WW3 and will crash the markets has been wrong. Now, maybe they end up being right, but in the past 2 weeks this has nothing to do with “information about geopolitics,” the market has forgotten about all of that (for now) and is acting like it never happened.

FUTURES I don’t think anyone would’ve questioned a general 1% pullback after the rally we’ve had since March 30th, but the question now is if this becomes larger due to the escalation. I still think both sides want a deal and are having those last minute issues that always take place when trying to close a big deal, but markets will have to decide how much they believe a deal has a chance to take place… $SPY $QQQ $IWM

@amitisinvesting Feels like a trap. No deal yet, no announcement of official talks, the Strait will take time to open, just statements from our president to keep panic at bay, but based on Vance's look at the last talks, it seems sketchy for now.

Today was a pretty crazy day for the stock market. How are people feeling? Too much too quickly? Coiled spring that was ready to burst? Best 12-day stretch since 2009. It has legitimately been an incredible move from the March 30th lows. From the data I’ve seen, it doesn’t seem like retail went crazy buying the dip. Last year in March/April, retail bought $80B of stocks. There was a structural shift of stocks from institutions to retail in those two months and because of the V shape, institutions had to come back snd chase at much higher prices which caused the next 6-month rally. This time, it seems like retail did buy, but NOT at the “im going all in” type of levels we saw last year. The reason for this was because many people simply didn’t know when or if this war would come to an end. Now it seems like shorts are covering hard as we had the largest short float in a decade on tech AND net new money is coming off the sidelines into the most incredible companies in the world (Mag 7) that still trade at low (not as low anymore) multiples. This is allowing other sectors like Fintech, SaaS, etc. to continue to run again as well. The idea of the war being over is what the market cared about and has now begun to price in that reality, just in time for Q1 earnings. My personal buys: - $35K in retirement account allocated the day after the ceasefire was announced in $PLTR $HOOD $AVGO $GOOGL $NVDA $RKLB $TSLA $GRAB $META $ORCL. - I did put in $2500 on March 30th for the best prices but it just wasn’t a ton of money that day which ended up being the bottom for now. - $RKLB $PLTR $ORCL were my main dip buys in my brokerage. $RKLB at around $67, $PLTR and $ORCL during the SaaS selloff with $PLTR around $125 and $ORCL $137. But, I did not go “all in” during this dip and still have more to allocate. Last year, I pretty much went all in and I think many other retail investors did as well. How are people feeling? Did you buy heavy? Are you doubtful here? Where do you think we go from here?
