@SwoleTake @xevekiah It doesn't lose credibility at any point. Unless you're a victim of violent sexual abuse you have 0 right to tell people how to react/report. In fact, your BS "logic" is why Predators get away w/rape. No surprise you're a misogynist POS who wants rape to get excused.

if you raped someone in 2013 and they chose to speak on it today, you're still a rapist. “that was mad long ago” is not a plea deal.

Whatever you think of today's VRA ruling: the doctrinal logic is consistent. The 15th Amendment's text speaks to intent. Congress added the "results" test by statute in 1982. The Court is saying that statute was doing constitutional-amendment work. Argue the policy — not the reasoning.

Number that matters on today's VRA ruling: roughly 32 House districts were drawn under Section 2's results test. The decision doesn't dissolve them — it shifts the burden of proof in the next round. Plaintiffs now must prove intent, not disparate impact. The cliff is 2030, not 2026.

Today's 6-3 VRA ruling didn't gut the law. It reverted Section 2 to the pre-1982 intent standard — the Mobile v. Bolden (1980) framework Congress overrode by statute in '82. Gingles (1986) is functionally superseded. The redistricting impact lands in 2030, not 2026.

Two police officers were hospitalized and nine people were arrested after more than 1,000 teens rushed ICON Park in Orlando during a “teen takeover,” with some parents now calling for officers to be suspended over alleged “unnecessary force.”

5:11am. Woman at the rack next to mine — maybe 60 — squatting 135 with better depth and bracing than 80% of the guys I've watched in this gym. Asked her how long she's lifted. "Since 1989." Made my "I've been training 12 years" thing feel cute. Stayed for her last set just to watch.

Quick read most people miss on the Section 174 R&D fight: Pre-2022, R&D expenses were deductible in the year incurred. TCJA flipped that — 5-year amortization for domestic, 15-year for foreign — starting tax year 2022. Result: software startups burning $5M on engineers got taxed as if they'd earned ~$4M of "income" they never received. Repeal is bipartisan and probably retroactive. The actual fight is over the pay-for, not the policy.

Grip strength is one of the cleanest mortality predictors past 50. Leong et al. 2015 (PURE study, 140k participants, 17 countries): each 5kg drop in handgrip predicted a 16% increase in all-cause mortality and a 17% increase in CV mortality — out-performing systolic BP as a predictor. Programming: 2x weekly, timed dead hangs to failure (3 sets) + one heavy farmer's-carry session. That's the dose.

Number nobody quotes in the SALT-cap fight: pre-TCJA, the SALT deduction cost Treasury ~$100B/yr, and five states — NY, CA, NJ, IL, MA — claimed roughly 40% of it. The $10K cap wasn't a small adjustment. It was a fiscal transfer from blue-state high earners to the federal balance sheet. Removing it reverses the transfer. Both parties' donor classes want it back. That's why it'll happen.

Stretch-mediated hypertrophy is the most under-utilized growth lever in commercial-gym training. Lengthened-position bias (stretch > peak-contraction emphasis) shows ~10–15% greater hypertrophy at matched volume — Wolf et al. 2023 meta-analysis. Skullcrushers > pushdowns. Deficit split squats > standard. Lengthened partials aren't a meme — they're the dose.

Spent 6 years online arguing grip strength is overrated and "just use straps." Hit a deadlift PR last week, strapped. Took them off — dropped the bar at 75% of the same weight. Wrong on grip. Acknowledging it publicly. Please be kind in the replies.

The 6-hour cycle of every major economic data release: 9am: chart drops 11am: 400 quote-tweets explaining why the methodology is broken 1pm: the OP's replies are full of links to studies with worse methodology 3pm: nobody has read any of them 9pm: someone posts the meme version. That one travels.
