The team had a strong showing winning 3 games, losing 1 game and tied another game to go 3-1-1. They were only two wins away from making it to the championship game and have a lot to be proud of. TAUNTON TYPHOONS 18U – CLUB SOFTBALL June 27, 2025. Taunton Typhoons 18U won 5-4 against USA Prime NE Blue 18U at the USA Softball Massachusetts State Tournament in Taunton, MA. Taunton Typhoons 18U won their first game of the USA Softball MA State Tournament. Belle Almeida led the team in hits with 2 and had 1 RBI. Tess Silvia reached base twice with 1 hit, 1 walk and was outstanding, making many plays on defense in left field including the initiation of a triple play. Victoria Corrao had an RBI that gave the team the lead for good in the fifth inning. Mariaelena Thomas had a great game on defense at first base. Super Highlight: The Taunton Typhoons converted a triple play. In the top of the third inning with 2 USA Prime NE Blue runners on first and second base, left fielder Tess Silvia caught a ball for an out, quickly threw the ball to Grace Bennett at second base catching the runner on base out and then threw the ball to Mariaelena Thomas at first base who got the runner on base out for a triple play. Batting Spotlight: Meghan Krockta has had a hit in 5 out of the last 6 games with 7 overall. USA Prime NE Blue was led by Riley Gilliss with 2 hits (double, single) 2 RBIs. Taunton Typhoons 18U Scoring: In the bottom of the first inning, Meghan Krockta singled. Belle Almeida singled to center field scoring Meghan Krockta for 1 run. Down 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Tess Silvia walked. Mariaelena Thomas singled. Ashlee Mastrodomenico singled, scoring Tess Silvia for 1 run. Jayden Morrell hit a sacrifice fly to right field scoring Mariaelena Thomas for 1 run. Victoria Corrao grounded out scoring Ashlee Mastrodomenico for 1 run to take a 4-3 lead. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Belle Almeida singled. Taylor Marino grounded out scoring Belle Almeida for 1 run. @TShowcase went 3-1 this weekend at USA Fall Classic! I went 5 for 10 with 6 RBIs and made plays in the field.

Had a fun first weekend with some new teammates and went 3-1! Can’t wait to be back next week!

Had a great weekend at NewEngland Fall Classic.Hit 7 for 9 2 walks a sac fly,4stolen bases, 6for 6 on defense. My Typhoons @TShowcase played great and went 3 and 1. Some great new talent ready for our 2025 season. I'm hitting .500 for the 2024 season. 39 for 78.

Sadly our season ended last weekend at NE’s finest. Had a great time with my teammates this year and we are looking forward to the fall!
