I am positively shocked at how much the Paris Shakespeare & Company sucks. Gigantic sprawls of YA and a little pity corner dedicated to "Classics" which are mostly those gaudy Penguin Clothbound editions.

This and another disappeared from our village churchyard on Salisbury Plain a few years ago. Hitherto thought to be no photo record, until this discovered recently. Please repost. It’s just possible that…

THIS MAKES ME SO ANGRYーsending a postcard/letter to Europe is now £3.60!! From childhood my most important relationships are penpals- why is @RoyalMail ruining this special experience- NO ONE can afford to send letters anymore! its so important! I could scream!

I hear there's a large global "strategic advisory and communications consultancy", trying to sucky up to journalists by enticing them to do a 45 minute online interview to help "develop a broad understanding of the perspectives and expectations of key stakeholders in relation to the water sector", and all in exchange for a £100 donation to charity. No journalist in their right mind of course would ever have anything to do with it but tell you what, make it a £5,000 donation to a charity of your choosing and I'll happily give you 45 minutes of my time. Whadda ya think @SouthWestWater? x.com/i/status/15871…

I don't often comment on the abundant fake #agathachristie signatures that show up - but when the book was published in 2005 (29 yrs after she died) & the auction house states its been verified for authenticity & value it at $4,000-$8,000 it's too much to pass up! #FakeSignature

A pleurer…

Larkin’s father died on 26 March 1948. A week the following Sunday it snowed in Warwick. This beautiful elegy was never printed in the poet’s lifetime and yet, arguably, it is his first great poem.
