I saw articles about a new revolutionary method to tell people who won Christmas before Christmas. Based on a algorithm, numerous components to score the store experience. It had Morrisons as the winner. Kantar's out today. They recorded sales growth of 3.2%. The lowest.

This may seem a surprise ending, but the truth is, I miss the old days. I used to love reading the Sunday New York Times. But maybe I'm mistaken to be nostalgic about that era. Maybe there was a lot of dishonesty then too, but we just never knew.

The underlying story, both here and with that BBC interview, is that there is now a whole generation who (a) have little respect for journalists after being treated dishonestly by them, and (b) no longer fear them, now that they've lost their monopoly on the news.
