Big night at Jerry “Jug” Wallace Field as the Indians take Game 1 of the series with an 11–1 win over Wade Hampton. Sam Carroll dominated on the mound with a complete game one-hitter. What a great season for your Lady Indians. From summer workouts and fall ball, to watching you all compete at the Dawn Staley Camp, to the season getting started, to traveling to Greenville, Tennessee, and making it all the way to the Upper State Championship for the first time in 40 years. I’m proud, and the whole Gaffney community is proud of this team. Keep your heads up and remember what the Bible says in Galatians 6:9: Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. To Coach Bubba Wright, congratulations on a great first season. Keep going, Coach. I know there were moments of pressure and nerves during the season, but you did a great job leading this team.
