Payton Sandfort says it was emotional to play these last couple games because last year at this time he was sitting with his dad, watching the Masters, just had shoulder surgery and was going through the draft process.
“Honestly just praying I’d have an opportunity to go anywhere.“
Sandfort says his dad and fiancée were here to watch him today. Sandfort had a career high 23 points and 5-9 3PT.
“It’s an important life lesson. Never give up on yourself.”
