OnIyfans girls fight over subscribers by having extremely public fights with each other on social media, so my internet footprint is insane. I like challenging social situations because I find them stimulating, but I was not aware of this dynamic until I became of a victim of it. It turns out that the internet equivalent of Foxy Boxing is not my calling. I wasn’t aware of how much importance OF workers place on internet clout and how many people’s pages hinge entirely on capturing part of another person’s audience share. It took me over a year to figure out that a huge part of doing OF full time is protecting yourself from other creators of all types because it’s a clout jungle. That all sounds more complicated than it really is, though. There is one very obvious truth about OF customers specifically that people don’t like to discuss. Lots of dudes jerk off to the public fights and drama these girls are in. Most of them are basically fans of different teams the same way people are with sports. I assume many of these dudes also derive self esteem from supporting their specific girl/team. It’s sports for jerking off and is remarkably popular. If I had to come up with a slightly degrading metaphor, OnIyfans girls on twitter are a form of horse racing for some people, both men and women. The race is also free. And the prize for winning is a bunch of dudes who jerk off to free content and don’t buy anything. So I don’t do that anymore. I thought I was making friends but I was actually part of a whole cultural thing for the online sex work industry that I was not aware existed. Nobody ever talks about it because it breaks kayfabe. I will not be participating in that so I’m breaking kayfabe.
