I suspect this is more right than not. The next step is fragmentation, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But there likely won’t be a successor.

I saw Pharaoh Sanders at Bohemian Caverns in DC — at one point he had the mic stuffed into his sax hitting the keys sounding like a bassy distorted electric kalimba. His band looked to be early 20’s and they ended on Creator Has a Master Plan
