Saw someone critique Morrowind as "you have to talk to NPCs instead of follow quest markers" and I find it a bit sad that some see game worlds as only lists of errands to follow. We should aspire for games to have worlds where its inhabitants are substance over filler.

Visual Studio users, what are your favorite time-saving tricks/shortcuts? I only recently discovered F12 to navigate to the definition of a variable/function, which is a godsend, and the "Rainbow Braces" plugin to help me navigate my way out of unknown depths of brackets
