Do we know when Cutting Copies of Doctor Who episodes stopped? I presume when the stopped making film prints of Who in 1974. I was pondering if a Pertwee era cutting copy turned up, could it have chromadots?

Small nit pick: As much as I enjoyed Jinx Monsoon as The Maestro, for an episode called "The Devil's Chord", you'd have thought Russell would have gotten a shock rocker like Alice Cooper to play the bad guy for example. I think there was a missed opportunity here, tbh.

There’s a lot you can do with updated SJA release. S3 was never released on Blu-ray, despite being filmed in HD and the S4&5 are out of print. The alien files series has never had a physical media release either. You could end up with something nice.

@Vtheraccoon I think you might be right tbh, I'm having flashbacks now to the whole Tom Vance debacle years ago. Something like this shouldn't happen again, and we can't guarantee potential depictions of Doctors to age like milk.

@VFXMan3 Remember back in like 2020-21 when literally once a month a big DW YT or Twitter person would get outed as a creep? It was so regular you could schedule them. It would take so much vetting. Even outside of the million other things, I think that would stop a gag like this.

As much of a LOVELY sentiment that this clearly is, the casting of the Doctor should never be a cameo gag, and involving Whotubers in such a key role without earning it through ability would not be right. Like, the best aspect of that Lux scene is that they DIDN'T use Whotubers.

@VFXMan3 I think a good way to bring it back would be a new season with zero reference to what’s gone on before, a complete reset with a new Doctor like in 2005. Then Xmas special so what happened - starting Billie Piper and a host of other famous names. Yeah and why not Tharries and Josh

@VFXMan3 A cute idea, but there is no way it'd go over particularly well. You'd get other Dr. Who YouTubers trying to get in on the show, and it'd just feed into their megalomania.
