Xbox skyrockets price increases. 2tb discontinued (would look too expensive) $100 more foe 512 and $150 more for 1TB. You’re looking at 800-900 bucks now to get the best console from Xbox or Sony. This is all due to component shortages and RAM maker monopoly bleeding everyone dry as they give their employee ferarri sized bonuses and ghost Valve calls for daring to try to negotiate. If RAM had been a free market, which it is not, this bullshit would be much harder to pull off. You need to watch Gamer Nexus to see what a mob outfit the ram makers are.

I actually don't think we need another console generation or any gaming hardware upgrades for awhile. These guys still barely optimize the games they already produce and we know that's not a hardware limitation. Games don't need to look better, they need to play better.

Google is testing a new reCAPTCHA system that asks users to make simple hand gestures in front of their camera instead of solving image puzzles. When used, the browser requests camera permission and records a short video of the user’s hand movements. According to Google, it does not record audio and deletes the video after the check is complete, don’t believe them. The new method aims to stop bots and AI tools that have become better at solving traditional CAPTCHAs. By verifying real hand movements, Google hopes to make it harder for automated attacks to create fake accounts or abuse websites. Google says hand-gesture verification is an optional feature and will not replace existing image and audio challenges.

This is abhorrent. EA is essentially creating a branding department to come up with "Unique ad placements that enhance the player experience". It's only a matter of time before EA FC and Madden are littered with ads. I wonder how much money these brands will pay EA for this.
