You just struggled to You're adolescence and puberty and it confused you.

No child should be kicked out as soon as they turn 18. This is an important time to teach them what life is really like beyond high school years. They are rarely ever prepared to actually leave home by age 18. They need support, they need to make mistakes, and they need to have a home and a patient, loving parent to return home to. Someone who can give them guidance so they don't repeat their mistakes but don't lose everything while experimenting on what works and what doesn't.

I had straight parents who knew absolutely nothing about transgender people (I was born in 1991, so I was born during a time when this really wasn't discussed much) and I experienced feelings that I could be different even before anyone ever talked to me about it. It isn't always grooming.
