Fabianski is a very shrewd signing, massively underrated keeper and an upgrade on Adrian. Need to forget about his early days at Arsenal, he’s been a superb No. 1 at Swansea and would still be in the Prem if Swansea were run properly as a club. Great business.

@seanyboy67 I would’ve happily taken Foster as well. Butland would have been great, but with Stoke asking £30m (on par with what Pickford sold for), it just doesn’t represent value for money and would’ve been a large part of budget gone.

@pauliodibrownio Oh I know, just merely stating that last season he got it so horrifically wrong. But you like to think you don’t lose that ability to spot gems and last year was a fluke when he was made to try and sign quality with lumps of coal

@WHUview His recruitment was excellent when he had money. Isco, Corzola, Willy, Saviola, Joaquin, De Mechillis, Monreal etc etc
