🚨 Hyperbridge Operations Update 🚨 On Feb 14, 2026, Hyperbridge initiated a deliberate safety pause on bridging. This was not a breach or a failure. It was our security protocols working exactly as designed to protect your transfers and ensure 100% cryptographic certainty. Hyperbridge recently transitioned to parathread status (on-demand scaling) on Polkadot. However, we identified an unexpected infrastructure gap: Polkadot’s current security-check system (BEEFY) only includes dedicated parachains in its proofs, not parathreads. Our protocol requires absolute mathematical proof to verify messages. Because the network currently can’t see parathread data, a verification gap was created. Hence the pause. What’s Next? A Polkadot network update is already being fast-tracked to resolve this indexing issue. Security: Users are 100% secure. Hyperbridge is non-custodial. ETA: We expect to resume operations by Tuesday, Feb 17. The pause affects transfers between Polkadot and Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB, & Gnosis.
