🇹🇷President Erdogan on Friday announced a fiscal incentive package that would, among other measures, grant incoming foreign residents a 20-year exemption from Turkish tax on foreign-source income and capital gains.
The proposal still requires parliamentary approval, and Erdogan did not specify a date for submission of the legislative package.
Speaking at the Dolmabahce Working Office in Istanbul during the “Turkey Century Strong Center for Investment Program” event, Erdogan described the measures as a “radical step” and said his government was “determined to make Turkey a global center of attraction.”
Individuals who have not been Turkish tax residents for at least three years could, under the proposed rules, relocate to Turkey and pay no Turkish tax on their foreign-source income for 20 years. Only domestically earned income would fall within the Turkish tax net.
Inheritance and gift tax for qualifying individuals would drop to a flat 1%. Turkey’s standard rates currently range from 1% to 30%.

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 US military bases and equipment across the Persian Gulf region suffered damage far worse than publicly acknowledged, with repairs expected to cost billions of dollars, according to NBC.
➡️Iran hit dozens of targets across US bases in seven Middle East countries, striking warehouses, command HQs, aircraft hangars, satellite comms infrastructure, runways, high-end radar systems, and dozens of aircraft.
➡️In the early days of the war, an Iranian F-5 fighter jet bombed Camp Buehring in Kuwait — despite the base having air defenses. It's described as the first time an enemy fixed-wing aircraft has struck a US military base in years.
This is huge on its own — the F-5 is a 1960s-era aircraft, essentially obsolete by any modern standard. Iran got a fixed-wing strike through US air defenses with a plane that predates disco.
➡️Iran used missiles, drones, and F-5 fighter jets — contradicting earlier US claims that the Iranian air force had failed to deploy fixed-wing aircraft against American targets.

🇺🇸⚡️🇨🇳🇮🇷 New US Sanctions Hit China-Iran Energy Ties, Target Key Refinery and Shipping Network
The US Treasury’s OFAC has launched another economic terrorism by targeting China’s Hengli Petrochemical refinery — a major 400,000 barrels-per-day facility — along with nearly 40 vessels operating in Iran’s 'shadow fleet'.
Nevertheless, in the face of this pressure, Iran continues to export its oil, proving the strength and ingenuity of its energy sector and its partners. Legitimate commerce between Iran, China, and independent countries cannot be dictated by Washington.

🇪🇺 Europe's gas prices could spike further as the EU bans spot purchases of Russian LNG starting Saturday. The move comes at the worst possible time, with the war in Iran having already sent regional gas prices up roughly 40%, and Europe needing to replenish depleted storage ahead of next winter.
The spot ban could cut 2.8-3.5 million tonnes of Russian LNG annually, around 3% of the bloc's total LNG imports last year. Long-term contract flows continue until year's end. Russia still covers about 12% of EU gas needs, including pipeline supplies.
The European Commission can declare an emergency and temporarily lift the ban if the situation deteriorates, but analysts at Energy Aspects say that's unlikely to happen fast given the reputational cost of reversing course so soon. The real crunch comes January 1, 2027, when long-term flows expire too.
