Building ‘cars’ as we prepare to try out our first crack at coding. We will be incorporating distance sensors and ‘brakes’ to stop prior to hitting an obstacle. ⁦@YHSDeGennaro⁩ ⁦@CMillerYorktown⁩

2nd year students are busy building “tractors”. The goal - how slow can you go? We optimize torque and minimize speed as we crawl to the finish line. Here is a glimpse of some builds so far @YHSDeGennaro @CMillerYorktown Builds are completed tmw and we race on Tuesday!

A picture is worth 1000 words but a model is even better! Great job by a 1st yr student that turned his store’s line queue into a Lego model. @YHSDeGennaro @CMillerYorktown. Now our 3rd yr students are prepping to create model buildings to demonstrate their architectural style!

EGGcelent work 2nd period on their first Instant Challenge. Students had limited time and materials to build a device to collect eggs. We now are set to investigate the simple machines that they utilized in their build! @YHSDeGennaro @CMillerYorktown
