Many people have spoken about a true 'turnkey' EV repower conversion for diesel buses. But our background is in OEM automotive, where you don't tell, you show. So we built one. And then invited the great and and the good of the bus world to try it for themselves... 🔋🚌

At ZEEbus we're constantly trying out new ideas, testing, measuring, making rigs up to see how new ideas really stack up. It's exciting stuff.

We like this picture, from the ZEEbus launch event. These solar panels and wind turbines are opposite our workshop. It's interesting to see how the biodiversity has grown over the years under the panels, they also graze sheep under there so it's still farmland.

We've come a long way, from these initial design studies to a working double decker bus! These are certainly exciting times.

Test drive, share data, check with our partners, work out how to improve, create new solutions and then test again... The development cycle needs to be repeated and notated to get the very best results. It's our favourite part of the whole process. 🔋🚌

The future is in finding new purpose for useful machines from the present. Repowering, re-using, recycling and reducing the materials required. Today’s diesel bus can become tomorrow’s EV powered solution… and in just 2 weeks of workshop time. 🔋🚌

Invest in people first, then in machines. Building skills is better than buying tech in most cases. A highly skilled and flexible workforce is so much more powerful than a machine with built in obsolescence.

Diesel engines certainly have their place, but we're not sure that it's always in a bus if an EV conversion might do the same job. Our 'bolt out, bolt in' conversions create a zero tailpipe emission solution for older buses that allow them to run on EV only routes. 🔋🚌

You don't have to be an EV fan to agree that, in built up and city environments, a zero emissions, EV repowered bus makes more sense than the diesel it once was - at half the cost of a new equivalent. 🚌 🔋
