This celebration is a powerful reminder that sacrifice, unwavering faith, and complete obedience to the will of Almighty Allah are the ultimate paths to success, fulfillment, and lasting joy. This truth is beautifully exemplified in the story of Prophet Ibrahim. As we celebrate, I urge us all to deeply imbibe these lessons by embracing love, brotherhood, and peaceful coexistence across all faiths. The Muslim community remains a vital partner in our shared vision to take Ekiti to greater heights of progress and prosperity. I am immensely grateful for your continued support and prayers for my administration and that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. At this moment, our thoughts remain with the families in Oriire Local Government whose children and loved ones are still in captivity following the tragic abduction in Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota communities.
We join millions of Oyo people in praying for their safe and swift return, while appreciating the ongoing efforts of the government, security agencies, and all those working tirelessly to bring the abducted pupils and teachers back home safely.

It takes a special level of insensitivity to compare Nigeria to Indonesia based on paper percentages. When Indonesia removed subsidies, did their agricultural belt collapse because farmers were massacred in their fields? Did their schools shut down due to bandit raids? You cannot boast about dragging inflation down on paper while human security is at an all-time low. Stop being so soulless; a country is made of living people, not decimal points on a chart.
'Holding the line' isn't a game; the line Nigerians are holding right now is between life and death. Did Indonesian citizens face mass school abductions and pay millions in ransom just to see their children alive?
If you can only prove 'recovery' by ignoring daily bloodshed, terror, and a collapsing national grid with constant electricity blackouts, you need to keep quiet and re-examine your humanity. Stop using twisted facts to rewrite how Indonesia actually was just to excuse the current failure.

Do you know where Indonesia was after the removal of subsidy? They were exactly where we are now! In 2015, their inflation doubled to 8.3% and growth hit a 5-year low. The 'Obidients' of Indonesia were crying that the country was finished. But they held the line. By 2016, inflation dropped to 3%, and today they are the 7th largest economy in the world. Nigeria hit 34% in 2024(bcus of how heavily declined our economy was), and we’ve already dragged it to 15.69% in 2026. We are recovering FASTER than they did. Study history or stay silent! 🤫
